Immigration: IOM appeals for wider response to migrants crisis

The International Organisation for Migration views the evolving situation in Calais (France) with great concern

Some 3,000 to 5,000 migrants are currently reported to be encamped in Calais, while IOM estimates that nearly 200,000 migrants have already arrived to the European Union by sea this year. IOM is particulalry concerned about the most vulnerable migrants: women and children. Since June already 10 people died trying to cross the Channel to reach the United Kingdom either through the tunnel or highway.

IOM affirms that the number of migrants arriving is manageable for tge EU. The urgency of migration management is growing every day without any solution offered by EU politics.
