The European Union offers to help France and the United Kingdom to solve Calais' migrant crisis

The European Commission said it was ready to help France and the United Kingdom dealing with the migrant crisis at the Channel Tunnel, as police on both sides braced for new attempts at the crossing. Brussels said in a statement that it would send a first instalment of financial assistance to France of €266 millionand over €370 million for the UK for the period covering 2014-20. The immigrations crisis surpasses national boundaries which is why the European Union has to put in place unified mesures to solve what has become a humanitarian emergency.
