Sustainable Development Goals and Gender Equality: the role of family policies

On April 19-20 in Amsterdam, the COFACE - Confederation of Family Organisations in the EU - in cooperation with the UN Focal Point on the Family organises this two-day event dedicated to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The conference ‘Sustainable Development Goals and Gender Equality: the role of family policies and exchange of good practices’ will deal with the role of family policies in the implementation of the SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals. This conference follows the Goal n°5 : to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

The SDGs are 17 specifics goals took by the UN in 2015 for the next 15 years to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.

  • Jan Vandemoortele, Independent researcher, formerly with UNDP and UNICEF
  • Pearl Dykstra, Professor, Erasmus University Rotterdam
