European-wide Action Week Against Racism
Every year around the 21st March, the International Day for the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination, the UNITED Network organizes and coordinates a European-wide campaign against racism. During this week, activities all over Europe raise awareness on existing discriminations and call for more diversity.
The UNITED Networks brings together actions taken by NGOs, community organisations, schools, local councils and all manner of groups and individuals in one week, joining forces against discrimination. Activities take place all over Europe and can be consulted on an interactive activity map. In Belgium, several demonstrations, expositions and debates take place, e.g. the nation-wide campaign "Job? – What You Can Do Against Racism on 21 March".
The European-wide Action Week Against Racism, however, does not limit its scope to Europe but includes also actions in countries such as Turkey, Russia or Ukraine.
Organisations and citizens willing to participate can join the campaign and become part of this big movement.
