Danish government to lauch an anti immigration advertisement in order to dissuade immigrants from coming

Through information campaign in foreign newspapers, Danish government is hoping to deter refugees from coming to Denmark. These advertisements will underline the stiffening of migrations laws, hoping that the result will be the diminution of asylum seekers arriving in the country. This campaign is initiated byImmigration Minister Inger Støjberg.

As a response to this anti immigration policy, a privately-funded initiative placed a full-age advertisement in The Guardian entitled: "Dear refugees, we welcome you to Denmark".

This initiative underlines the ongoing divisions between European policies and citizens' will.
